Solving quadratic inequalities
|x2-a| > bx+c
You will need to look at the graphs of y = |x2-a| and y = bx+c in order to decide on the final answers.

Summary In solving |x2+a| > bx+c, you follow the same steps as you would for solving |x2+a| = bx+c. Use your graphic calculator to plot the graphs of y = |x2-a| and y = bx+c, and use the display to help identify the final answers. This page uses jsMath.
