The inequality ax + b > cx + d can be illustrated on a graph. The graph of y = x is shown in blue. The graph is also given of y = 2x+2, but where 2x+2 > x this line is shown in red, otherwise it is shown in green.

Therefore the solution to the inequality 2x+2 > x is is x > -2.

Change the values of a, b, c and d, and solve ax+b > cx + d
