examThe written examination will consist of one 1½ hour paper with about eight questions with varying mark allocations per question. All questions may be attempted. Questions will be set in SI units and other units in common usage. This resource gives you 8 typical interactive questions based on recently published examination papers. A basic mark scheme is included, along with an estimate of the time you should spend on the question and a stopwatch to help you use your time efficiently.

All you should need to make the best use of this exam question paper is a calculator (not a graphical one), a copy of the formula book and some paper. Use the online stopwatch to make sure you are not spending too much time on some questions at the expense of others. Examiners advise that candidates should write down any appropriate formula before attempting to use it as this provides evidence of correct method, and that for clarity they should start each question on a fresh page, writing each step on a new line.

Summary

You must not assume that these questions illustrate all that you can be asked. There are various types of questions on these topics, many substantially longer than those given here. You need to practice as many past examination questions as you can, writing out specimen answers and checking them with a tutor. Find out at your school or college where you can get past examinations questions from.
