Mutually exclusive events backmore
Two events A and B are mutually exclusive if:

they have no outcomes in common, or
P(AÇB) = 0, or
A venn diagram B sd 
A Ç B is empty venn diagram

Decide which of these pairs of events are mutually exclusive and which are not. To check your answer, move your pointer over the Venn diagram. If the A Ç B region is illuminated then the events are NOT mutually exclusive.
