This is an extended version of a talk given at the
education ministry for Catalonia in Barcelona on September 15th, 2000.
The talk was given by Bryan Dye in response to being awarded a Sun Workstation
for first prize in the competition MATHPLETS 2000. The competition was
organised by the
European
Schoolnet and sponsored by Sun. His winning entry was "Transformations", which uses the
dynamic software Cinderella to create interactive geometric for students.
