A starting point for finding logo sites in Europe and the USA is at Eurologo. Another good starting point is simply called Logo. The Windows logo program MSWLogo can be downloaded. Also known as Berkeley Logo, this version was written by George Mills and Brian Harvey (author of varous good books on logo). It includes many demo programs, including the famous interactive DOCTOR project where the user can carry out a conversation with a pretend psychologist. This is described in detail in Brian Harvey's book, "Computer Science Logo Style", published by the MIT Press. Go to the Download page for the site address where you will also find links to other logo-related sites. At Learning Logo you can find one parent's description of how they used MSWLogo with their own children. Worksheets are included. Find out at Logo@AmbleWeb what primary pupils are doing. For information about many versions of logo and more links try the The Logo Foundation at MIT. |
Try the
Logo Art
Galley where you will find downloadable procedures to help create artistic
patterns.
For Turtle graphics without Java try Web Turtle. A forum, LogoForum, is active. If you
want to join, go to LogoForum and follow the
instructions there to subscribe. |
