There are two sets of resources available for students and teachers to use with Omnigraph:
Investigations with Omnigraph (Interactive version) and
A-Level Investigations with Omnigraph

Investigations with Omnigraph
investigations with omnigraph PC (Dos), SPA. The original version, first published in 1991. A collection of starter ideas for investigating points, lines, curves, algebra and transformations using Omnigraph, including: Coordinate patterns, Polygons, Lines and curves, Transformations of shapes and curves, Equations and lines, Lines of best fit, Rates of change, Algebraic factorising and simplifying, Matrix transformations, Combining transformations .

Investigations with Omnigraph - the interactive version

Windows,SPA. Autumn 2000: new interactive version of Investigations with Omnigraph (called an Omniguide) which incorporates all the resources into an on-screen presentation. The investigations are posed on-screen, with active buttons making sure that investigating the maths is the central activity. There are over 150 starting points. Topics include: Coordinate patterns, Polygons, Lines and curves, Equations and lines, Lines of best fit, Algebraic factorising and simplifying, Combining transformations, Rates of change, Transformations of shapes and curves, Matrix transformations.

The teacher's guide, which is itself interactive, gives hints about the investigations, National Currivulum references and (where appropriate) answers to the investigations.
See here for National Numeracy Strategy references.
A demo version will be available soon.
Requires Omnigraph for Windows version 2.1 or later.

Detailed description
When the Interactive Investigations Omniguide is loaded the left side of the screen displays Omnigraph and the right displays the guide itself. The guide contains all the advice, mathematics topic areas and (in the teacher's version) the answers, accessed by selecting menu options and interactive buttons. The buttons are grey and look like these:

The buttons interact with Omnigraph itself, causing graphs to be displayed and various other changes.

Example 1: Transformations of curves
Here's an example on enlargements (2 Equations and lines >>2.12 Algebraic changes >>2 y=af(x) >>2b). The curves y=x2-1 and y=a(x2-1) are displayed. Using the dynamic constants menu, the value of a can be changed and its effect observed:

Example 2: Enlargements
Here's an example on enlargements (4 Transformations >>4.2 Enlargements >>1 Enlarge something >>1b). A flag shape is enlarged with centre (0,0) and scale factor (initially) of 2. Using the dynamic constants menu, this value can be changed and its effect observed:

Example 3: Functions
Here's an example on function notation (3 Algebra >>3.5 Functions >>3 f(g(x)) >>3d). The functions f(x)=x+3 and g(x)=x2 are defined and the curves y=f(g(x)) and y=g(f(x)) are displayed. By editing the function definitions, the student has to find functions such that f(g(x)) = g(f(x)):

A-Level Investigations with Omnigraph a level investigations
PC (Dos), SPA. A collection of starter ideas for A Level and beyond for investigating curves, lines, functions, equations, calculus and transformations using Omnigraph. Specific topics include: Rational polynomials and power series, Exponential and logarithmic functions, Hyperbolic functions, Transformations, geometric and algebraic Combinations of transformations, Curve sketching and equations, Combinations of curves, Algebraic relationships, Differentiation and Integration, Differential equations, Polar and parametric curves, Vectors

The Teacher's Pack gives hints about the investigations and (where appropriate) answers. It includes a disk containing over 200 Omnigraph examples for use by students while working the booklet. The Teacher's Pack includes one Student's booklet. One copy of the Teacher's Pack is essential to use the materials (and you need Omnigraph itself, of course!).
