Interactive Software
The Internet is becoming increasingly interactive, though at the cost of having a specific plug-in or a Java compatible browser. Visit our interactive pages:

Java mathematics
If your browser supports Java, then try some mathematical ideas like balldrop (the quincunx), simpleplot (plot some graphs), Java logo, and others - when we can get them to work!. To find more sources of your own, try MathsNet Java java links
Logo Spreadsheets
Logo is the term used to describe a range of programs that in various ways provide the user with the means of controlling the movement of an object on the screen (the turtle). As Seymour Papert (credited as the inventor of logo) described it: powerful ideas in mind-sized bites. Here we look at Logo in general, and WinLogo and Java logo in particular. A spreadsheet is basically a grid of rows (usually numbered 1,2,3...) and columns (usually lettered A,B,C...). Each cell in this grid can contain numbers, text or formulas. The formulas can refer to the contents of other cells. Besides looking at spreadsheets in general, we have materials to go with Excel, and are developing ideas to work with spreadsheets embedded in your browser.
Graphs Graphic calculators
Using graph processing software and hardware in education - particularly the graph processor Omnigraph. You wil find basic general graph material, and more on fractals, Embedded graphs and animated graphs - aerobi-graphs. We review the graphical calculator models available for educational use and look in particular at two - the Sharp EL9600 and the Texas Instruments TI-83
