Buttons

In all the tasks entitled "construct" a number of buttons are used to create points, lines and circles. You use the mouse (left) button, usually pressing, dragging and releasing. This is how they work. You can print out this page.

move Move a point by clicking and dragging. add a point Add a point, by moving to the position you want and clicking (or by pressing, dragging then releasing)
add line Construct a line through two points by pressing on one point, dragging to the other point and releasing. compass Use the compass to draw a circle by clicking first where the centre is, then where the circumference is and last where you want this circle positioned.
add parallel Reflect a point in a line by first selecting that line and then selecting a point. add a perpendicular Construct a parallel to a line by first selecting that line and then dragging to a point.
perpendicular Construct a perpendicular to a line by first pressing on that line and then dragging to a point and releasing. measure angle Measure an angle by clicking on two lines.
construct a circle Construct a circle by pressing on the centre, dragging to a point on the circumference and releasing. midpoint Construct the midpoint between two given points by pressing on one point, dragging to the other and releasing
undo Undo your last step - and the step before that, and so on... hint Give a hint
    new Clear everything and start again.
